It seems like there really can't be anything newsworthy today if the buzz is Couric's departure from NBC's "Today" show to the CBS Evening News. Given, she will be the only woman solo anchor of the evening news that they've ever had.. but she's no Murrow. She's.. Couric. They're courting Meredith Vieira from "The View" to take her place with Matt Lauer, but then they might have to contend with her talking about Star Jones breasts and bariatric surgery. Hm. And they look eerily similar.. maybe they're planning on just pulling the old switcheroo, and hoping that nobody notices that they've got a cheaper Couric (2.0 if you will) on the air? CNN (her old network) have shown clips of her hairdos, her old clothes, and embarrassingly enough discussed the fact that she was thisclose to being fired from CNN at first - for god's sake, they've got a Katie Watch going on. It's embarrassing. Then again, don't rats know when a ship is sinking? Sell your stock in NBC.. and Republicans!
